Fall is upon us. You may be dragging your hoodies (or someone else’s *winks*) from your closets so that means it’s time to transition your makeup to deeper tones. Deeper lippies are a staple, but what about blushes?
Nars Cosmetics Dolce Vita has been in my makeup drawer forever. It’s described as a dusty rose and a great blush for fall. It’s matte so if you’re trying to stay away from sparkly or glitterly blushes then this could be for you. Unfortunately, Nars blushes are not cheap. Prices have slowly crept up on us Narsissists in the last few years, but I still think they’re great. There’s something out there for most skintones so even if Dolce Vita doesn’t tickle your fancy there’s another one out there waiting for you. And if you already have a fave Nars blush let me know in the comments.
Living in Middle America can be a pain. Sure, a dollar goes a bit further and people move a bit slower. However, for a makeup hoarder, like myself, all the cool stuff is a few hours drive or a plane ticket away. So this is my beauty destination wish list. I am an unabashed NARSissist. It is my holy grail brand. If I had the chance to meet François Nars I’d probably pass out. However, that opportunity probably won’t present itself anytime soon so I have to be satisfied with cool products. This is Cruella and Train Bleu Velvet Matte Lip Pencils.
There comes a time in every beauty lover’s life that they hit the jackpot with a product or brand. The skies open up, the seas part and harps play for your discovery. Some of us call it the holy grail or HG for short. This is 5 reasons a brand/product is considered holy grail. Continue reading 5 Ways to Know It's Holy Grail→
FULL DISCLOSURE: Nars 413 BLKR Illuminator and Lost Coast Eyeshadow Duo were gifted to me.
I was hanging around on Youtube and decided search for some Nars videos and ran across this one:
In this video head artist, Cindy Rodriguez, used some of the products from Nars Cosmetics’ Summer 2014 Adult Swim Collection to create a look around a bold lip. I decided to recreate the look with a few tweaks since I don’t own everything from Adult Swim.
I feel good about it. Obviously the artist in the video didn’t wing out the eye. I did that just to add more drama because my eye looked a bit plain without it. I’ll be getting some swatches up of Lost Coast and 413 BLKR soon so you can see them upclose. I’ll also put what I used below. Let me know what you think.
Are you big on recreating the looks you see or do you just do what you want?
