I’m a woman who likes options or at least that’s what I tell myself when I pick up something that may or may not look similar to something I already own. So today I have a few swatches of some vampy lip options for you. One is on the high side while the others are budget friendly so hopefully you won’t feel left out if vampy lips are your lane and you haven’t tried these yet.
You know how it goes. You’re bored and maybe you have a few bucks burning a hole in your pocket so you say “I’ll buy that lip product I saw so and so talking about.” You get lucky and there it is, beauty at a bargain in your drugstore. So you go home eager to test it out only to find out it wasn’t what you wanted or hoped for. This was me with Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color.
This is a quick post just to show some more Wet N Wild Vicious Varnish from the Fergie Centerstage Collection. I already reviewed two of these here. I still think they are lovely gloss-like stains for the price.
I purchased Global Fierceness and Epic. Both seem to be in the fuchsia range. Epic is slightly darker than Global Fierceness. I don’t think you need both since the shades are so close together. Honestly I’m not sure which one I’m partial too but they’re both very pretty.
You can see from the photos how close they are so just choose the one you like best. Wet N Wild Vicious Varnish retails for $3.49 and can be found where Wet N Wild products are sold.
I went to Walgreen’s last week and noticed a big display. It was for the Wet N Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish High Shine Lip Stain. I’ve been on a lip stain/lip gloss kick lately so I decided to try it out. The coupon for $1.00 off didn’t hurt either.
The applicator is a doe foot wand that’s very flexible, perhaps a bit too flexible. It looks like the sponge could separate from the wand if you’re too rough, but that doesn’t seem like something to worry about.
Both stains are pretty opaque. I used two coats on my lips because I was going for maximum shine. You may only want to use one because the texture is on the goopy side. I don’t mind it because I feel like that’s the tradeoff I have to make for the look. And as shiny as these products are, once they wore off from eating and drinking throughout the day there was definitely color left behind. I plan on buying a few more. This is high color payoff for $3.50.
So will you try the Vicious Varnish? Let me know the comments below.
