Disclosure: I received this product from Black Radiance. All opinions are my own.
For the brown girl living in a world where department store brands may not be within reach Black Radiance can be the plug. I’ve been in drugstores that stock up to the first dark foundation shade when 2 or 3 follow it. This kind of thing leaves many dark skin consumers out. Consumers who are ready to spend their money and be loyal to a brand forever. So I think Black Radiance fills that space. After months and months of waiting for Melt to restock some of their popular colors I was able to get Blow and DGAF this month. Blow is a pretty matte green and DGAF is dark matte blue. Unfortunately, DGAF is sold out again with no clear restock date. I suggest signing up for the Melt newsletter and pay attention to Melt’s social media accounts for any updates. Now, on to the photos.
So let’s dead this. You need sunscreen everyday. EVERYDAY. Indoors, outdoors, while working in an office, at a counter, handing out flyers, whatever. Put it on. Reapply as needed and be active in preventing skin cancer and excessive aging of your skin.
You know how it goes. You’re bored and maybe you have a few bucks burning a hole in your pocket so you say “I’ll buy that lip product I saw so and so talking about.” You get lucky and there it is, beauty at a bargain in your drugstore. So you go home eager to test it out only to find out it wasn’t what you wanted or hoped for. This was me with Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color.
Contouring is a HUGE deal. Some people swear by it(You’ve seen Instagram) while others aren’t too keen on it. It’s the new thing and an old trick all at the same time. It doesn’t really matter where you fall on it to me, I’m just here to give another option that I haven’t seen getting much love since all these contouring palettes have hit the market in the last year or so.
Considering many of the palettes are $40+ or some of the darker palettes have limited availability(see: only available on company websites) compared their palettes with lighter shades I think Make Up For Ever 5 Camouflage Cream palette is worth checking out. If you’re more partial to cream than powder then this one is right up your alley. It’s smaller than many of these contouring palettes so it will travel easily and you have a color correcting shade. It may not be billed as a “contouring palette” but let’s be honest, many of these palettes are eyeshadow/concealer-like products repackaged to cash in on the craze anyway.
