Do Men’s Makeup Opinions Matter? #BuryMeMondays

This post contains affiliate links.

First, I’m not talking about Manny Guiterrez, Wayne Goss, Sam Fine, AJ Crimson, James Vincent, Nicky Posley, Renny Vasquez or any other male makeup artists. I’m talking about men that don’t wear makeup and quite possibly don’t like makeup on other people. Do their opinions matter? Should they even be voicing their opinions about makeup or should they just STFU?

I know where I stand on this. I think they should find something else to comment on. Voicing a dislike of makeup or a wish for a more natural aesthetic adds nothing to the makeup wearer’s life. It’s just a way for men to attempt to exercise influence over the choices of others. But that’s what I think. What do you think? Tell me on Twitter or Facebook and use the #burymemondays tag.

Gifts or Gift Cards: Do You Have A Preference? #BuryMeMondays

Now that the holidays are upon us I have an important question to ask you. Do you prefer physical gifts or gift cards?

My love language has conveniently changed to gifts so I don’t care. However, I know some people are very particular about what gifts they receive or give for that matter. So let me know. Gifts or gift cards?

And if you’re looking for more gift ideas for your favorite beauty lover check out this post. Continue reading Gifts or Gift Cards: Do You Have A Preference? #BuryMeMondays

Drugstore and Prestige Lipstick Swatches On Dark Skin

I have grand plans. Plans that involve lipstick and photos and me wearing those lipsticks in said photos. I’m not sure how it’s all going to shake out. Some say the hardest part of doing something is taking the first step. That makes sense. Many talk themselves out of doing something before the first move is made. Now I just have to keep going.

Pass the lip balm and these lip patches. Continue reading Swatches, Swatches, Swatches: The Beginning

e.l.f. Hydrating Bubble Mask Review

K-Beauty. It’s so huge that what you once had to scour the internet for is now at Sephora, Ulta, and Amazon. So it was only a matter of time before American brands got into the mix with their own K-beauty inspired products. Continue reading e.l.f. Hydrating Bubble Mask Review

The Remix: @UltaBeauty or @Sephora? #BuryMeMondays

sephora-or-ulta-the-remix

I’ve asked this question before but there’s been a recent development so I wanted to ask it again.

Chicago Tribune reports that “a limited portfolio” of NARS Cosmetics is coming to Ulta. There’s no telling which products will be included but this could be a game changer if this is your favorite brand. Continue reading The Remix: @UltaBeauty or @Sephora? #BuryMeMondays

I Need It Now: @narsissist Velvet Lip Glide

I need you to understand that the sun kinda rises and falls with Francois Nars and Nars Cosmetics. Even if I don’t have it to spend I have to know what’s coming next.

I haven’t had a chance try any yet but I am sweating the Nars Velvet Lip Glide. Continue reading I Need It Now: @narsissist Velvet Lip Glide

Hydrate That Skin: @OleHenriksen Facial Water Trio

Ole Henriksen recently dropped something new to get your skin right this fall, a trio of their Facial Waters. So what’s dope about this? Since Fall is here and Winter is coming(ha ha) cold winds and dry, hot air  will be zapping the moisture from your skin so Ole Henriksen Facial Waters can be part of your defense against that.

Does Bad Press Affect Your Purchasing Choices? #BuryMeMondays

It seems like one brand after another is doing something that rubs someone the wrong way. Marc Jacobs went full-on “I don’t see color” when called out for cultural appropriation for dreadlocks in his latest New York Fashion Week runway show but later apologized. Continue reading Does Bad Press Affect Your Purchasing Choices? #BuryMeMondays
