Why are the OG Naked palettes still $54?
The original Urban Decay Naked palette came out in 2011 or 2012 and I’m still waiting for it to drop in price. Maybe something is wrong with me but I don’t think it should be the same price as when it came out. The packaging alone doesn’t warrant it costing the same as the other ones. Naked 2, 3, and Smoky come in sturdy cases compared to the felt-covered magnetic case for the original. Continue reading 5 Beauty Questions That Need Answers #QTNA
What’s BHA Anyway?
The BHA in Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid stands for beta hydroxy acid, commonly known as salicylic acid. You might be familiar with salicylic acid because it’s in lots of acne products. Salicylic acid can help clear pores, help with skin texture, and fight blackheads, but its primary benefit is exfoliation. After going back and forth between a couple of mascaras I got the bright idea to use them together. My thought was the length I get from one can be combined with the volume I get from the other. My experiment worked so well that my mother-in-law asked what mascara I was using. That’s a score in my book. So do you use multiple mascaras at once? What’s your killer combo? Self-promotion is a weird thing. On the one hand, you have to put yourself out there to be seen. However, it’s so much easier to just sit back pretend what you need will magically appear. One gets results and the other doesn’t. So this is me shouting out my podcast, Single Simulcast(www.singlesimulcast.com). Continue reading Hey! Did You Know I Have A Podcast? It’s Called @SingleSimulcast.
I’m always here for a black lip. I’ve loved it since high school. However, Cover Girl and Maybelline stuck to pinks, reds, mauves, and browns back then so the only black lipstick option was a beauty supply store. But times, as they say, change and now you’re just as likely to spot a black lipstick as you are any other color.

I know what you’re thinking. Christmas is barely in the books and here she is talking about buying more gifts. Well, yes, I am talking about buying more gifts because Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I don’t want you to play yourself. How can you avoid playing yourself? Giving the gift of Lush, of course. Continue reading Give The Gift of @LushCosmetics This Valentine’s Day

First, I’m not talking about Manny Guiterrez, Wayne Goss, Sam Fine, AJ Crimson, James Vincent, Nicky Posley, Renny Vasquez or any other male makeup artists. I’m talking about men that don’t wear makeup and quite possibly don’t like makeup on other people. Do their opinions matter? Should they even be voicing their opinions about makeup or should they just STFU?
I know where I stand on this. I think they should find something else to comment on. Voicing a dislike of makeup or a wish for a more natural aesthetic adds nothing to the makeup wearer’s life. It’s just a way for men to attempt to exercise influence over the choices of others. But that’s what I think. What do you think? Tell me on Twitter or Facebook and use the #burymemondays tag.
