K-Beauty. It’s so huge that what you once had to scour the internet for is now at Sephora, Ulta, and Amazon. So it was only a matter of time before American brands got into the mix with their own K-beauty inspired products.
e.l.f., known for their affordable makeup and brushes, has jumped into the skincare game with the Hydrating Bubble Mask.
This hydrating and nourishing gel transforms into a bubble mask on the face. Watch as bubble fizz and foam to remove excess dirt and cleanse pores for glowing, healthy looking skin.
Since I was new to bubble masks I had nothing to go on as far as the experience was concerned. I put this on and as it began to change from gel to foam I realized I couldn’t take the feeling of the bubbles on my face. The best word to describe it is unnerving. It’s the worst kind of tingling. It’s your hair standing on end and tiny things tapping on your face incessantly. It was too much.
I thought the Hydrating Bubble Mask could be something interesting and fun to try while I relax. Think chilling with a clay mask or sheet mask but I couldn’t stop thinking about the feeling. Maybe if my skin looked or felt drastically different after use I’d grin and bear it but it didn’t. It’s something I won’t be buying again.
Have you tried e.l.f. Hydrating Bubble Mask or any other bubble mask. Let me know about your experience in the comments.
