What makes us not wear sunscreen? We forget. It may smell funny. Not to mention that if you have dark skin it can leave a white cast. So we tell ourselves it’s cloudy outside. We believe the temperature is an indication of the sunrays’ intensity. We say we’re covered up and not walking around outside all day so it’s okay. However, the truth is unless you’re in a windowless room 24 hours a day there’s a chance you’re getting sun exposure and need to be protected. That’s where SuperGoop! Sun-Defying Sunscreen Oil comes in.
This lightweight, non-greasy formula provides superior antioxidant protection, diminishes signs of UV damage, and enhances skin hydration while providing broad spectrum SPF 50 protection. Formulated with reinforcing meadowfoam seed oil, potent tocotrienols, and nourishing argan oil, it leaves skin feeling smooth, supple, and protected. A natural essential oil blend of pomegranate, citrus, and calendula provides a subtle sensorial experience. (sephora.com)
What’s dope about this is that it’s an oil. If you appky correct amount of sunscreen to your skin you may be rubbing and rubbing and rubbing trying to get it to absorb into the skin. Maybe it leaves behind a white cast and maybe it doesn’t but with the sunscreen oil you don’t have to worry about it. You can get your shine on AND be protected from the sun’s harsh rays. I’ve found it’s easier to use this than the stuff that comes in the tube. I do my morning skincare routine and finish with my moisturizer with SPF. Then, I follow up by putting the SuperGoop! Sunscreen Oil on exposed places, usually my neck, arms, and hands.
This oil is really light. It has a pleasant smell and it gives me peace of mind without being inconvenient. My previous excuses for skipping sunscreen are now out the window(not that I should’ve made them in the first place). This will be a skincare staple.
