The brush is in an hourglass shape and designed with “extra stiff bristles to maximize the performance of his carbon black collagen fueled formula.”
It’s cruelty-free and thick. Since Better Than Sex is billed as volumizing the thickness makes sense. As I used a second and third coat my lashes got some serious UMPH. Anything more than that and I think it would start to clump. I was also able to get some lengthening. My lashes don’t feel too hard, even with a third coat, and I didn’t have much trouble removing it with a make-up remover wipe.
Better Than Sex Mascara feels like it’s meant for a night out rather than an everyday mascara, but I don’t think it should be limited to that. It’s $23 so it shouldn’t languish in a drawer waiting for its big moment.
WOULD I BUY IT?
I know everyone isn’t big on splurging on mascara, but I’d buy this mascara in its full size since I’m happy with my sample. At the moment Sephora is selling a Twice The Sex Mascara Duo(online only), which consists of the full size mascara and a travel size mascara. If I decide to buy the mascara anytime soon, then I’ll jump on that to get a bit more bang for my buck.
Have you tried Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara? Did it live up to its name?
